Sree Narayana Guru College of Advanced Studies, Vazhukumpara, an initiative of a group of academicians and managed by Sree Narayana Vidyapeetam Educational Trust, Kannara, is a stepping stone to bring to our reach the ever expanding horizons of education. It was Sree Narayana Guru, the great social reformer of Kerala, after whom the college is named, who exhorted us to enrich ourselves through education. The College is affiliated with the University of Calicut and was inaugurated by Mr.Vellappilli Natesan SNDP General Secretary and founder secretary Mr.C.Radhakrishnan of the Sree Narayana trust in June 2014. The college is located in Vazhukkumpara near the world-famous Kuthiran Tunnel, Thrissur in Kerala. The college campus, placed on the lap of nature, with its sprawling garden and lush greenery all around, is situated on a 5 acre compound. The picturesque green landscape and eye-friendly verdant areas surrounding it grace the pleasant campus. The breath taking view of the distant Western Ghats, an aesthetically appealing backdrop, provides that welcome touch of inspiration to the serious student. Undoubtedly this screne atmosphere, far from the madding crowds, provides the requisite ambience for housing Goddess Saraswathy, the goddess of Vidhya (knowledge). The three storey building comes up with full state-of-art facilities to accommodate the various departments of study and research in this Temple of Learning.
